Do it Yourself Keyword Density Analysis.

How it works
SpiderView D.A.(tm) has three simple controls to it. The url input field, the "Show all words" check box and the submit button.
Simply enter the url of the file you wish to test into the input field.
Clicking on the "Show all words" button will enable the software to display all of the words in the file instead of only the multiply repeated words. If you have a very large file (a lot of text), you might want to leave this defaulted to off to make a smaller display.
Press submit when you're ready to test the file.

Program Caveats
The analyser software will reject certain url types as being unacceptable for spidering.
SpiderView D.A.(tm) will only display the first 500 lines of html in the file.
SpiderView D.A.(tm) has been tested against hundreds of urls at this point, but that doesn't mean the analysis software is perfect. If you find a url that is returning unexpected results, let us know about it, it may be something that we can fix, or at least explain.

Interperting the results
SpiderView D.A.(tm) Outputs several sections in its report. The header data, the html found at that particular location, and the link data on that page.
Typical Header Data:

Header data returned:

HTML Code Returned

Typically a webserver returns two chunks of data for every http request. The first chunk of data is the http header. The header contains such items as identification of the web server type you're accessing, the name of the file, and proper location if the file is redirected via http. You'll also find in the header data other useful information such as when the last date of modification for the file was, and your Meta Tag data if you're fetching an html file with meta tags in it.

The next item displayed is the actual html returned from the web server, in a large text area. This is useful if you suspect a redirector at play. Many websites that use non standard redirection techniques will actually have a small html file containing the true url for the website. You can usually find that information in here.

Finally there will be two tables similar to the ones below;

Word Repeats Frequency Word Repeats Frequency
analyser 61.579 analysis 923.68
data 102.632 density 174.474
file 123.158 find 41.053
first51.318 header 82.105
keyword 133.421 keywords 30.789
meta 20.104 page 40.207
possible 20.104 recommended 30.156
results 20.104 search 20.104
software 160.829 words 20.104

RED - Items in red exceed the recommended density.
BLACK - Items in black are with the recommended density.
GREEN - Items in green are below the recommended density.
BLUE - Items in blue with .2% of being within the recommended density. Perhaps you could increase the use of these items?

Possible meta tag:

<meta name=keywords content= alta page pages vista>

Tag Elements: 4
Content Length: 21 characters.

The tag contains too few keywords, consider adjusting the text.

The first table displays the breakdown of words in the body of the page, the number of times each word repeats and the total percentage that the word appears based on the total number of unique words in the page.

The second table is constructed based on the first, showing one possible meta tag based on the word density.

Its important to understand that the methodology used by this software represents one interpertation of how keyword density is calculated. This methodology was developed on the basis of examining both highly ranked and poorly ranked pages in the search engines, but may not be representitive of the exact method used by the search engines themselves.

The software is offered "as is" and tipapic.com accepts no responsibility or liability for its use.

Enter a complete URL or the analyser may not work
